November 2019 – A revived IUPUI Wellness Coalition seeks to increase information sharing and collaboration on heath and wellness topics across units. The coalition has been meeting quarterly.
Summer 2020 – Launch of the Student Wellness Directory (wellness.iupui.edu), a sustainable, sortable, and searchable database of programs that includes drop-down categories for mental health and substance use.
Summer 2020 – Physical version of a 12-page Student Wellness Directory booklet were printed with grant funds. Copies were distributed by academic units and mailed directly to incoming students.
December 2020 – Employee open rates for the required alcohol/drug annual notification email increased from 40% in 2018 to 46% in 2020. Student open rates increased from 44% in 2018 to 54% in 2020.
Spring 2021 – The IUPUI Wellness Coalition commissioned IU Studios to conduct a series of focus groups with both students and employees about perception and awareness of health and wellness offerings, current and preferred communication, and to produce a report of recommendations to enhance communication.
Spring 2019 – A grant from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction enabled Campus Health to become trained in SBIRT (screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment). Implementation was paused due to COVID demands.
April 2020 – SupportLinc was introduced as the new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. The service includes unlimited telephonic counseling with a professionally licensed counselor, and up to six face-to-face counseling sessions per episode.
